Shopping Center Choro is a piece in a single movement composed during the graduation course in Composition at Unirio, dedicated to the Ladies Orchestra, the precursor of the Brazilian Music Orchestra, conducted by the professor Roberto Gnatalli. The piece is about the opening of the first Shopping Center in Brazil, Rio-Sul, near the University. In a jazz-fusion language, the work contains quotes from various choro composers, such as Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim, and Altamiro Carrilho.
